Motor Circuit Selector

Full load amps are per 2011 NEC Table 430.250. Fuse and breaker amps are determined per NEC Article 430.52. These are approximate selections, suitable for normal service applications. Heavy duty starting may require a larger size to hold motor starting current.

** Heater pack selections are for average, 1.15 service factor, squirrel-cage motors. Actual motor ratings could be considerably different. For full motor protection and conformance to 2011 NEC, Article 430, Part III, heater packs should be selected using motor nameplate current ratings.
